Karson Hartrick began his interest in all things electrical while in high school studying at Buckeye Career Center in the Electrical Systems Technology program, graduating in 2019. From there, he went straight into the adult education Utility Lineworker program, finishing it in 2019. This seamless pathway from high school into the adult program was a natural progression, and it led to full-time employment with American Electric Power as a line mechanic.
“Attending Buckeye Career Center gave me a big head start on accomplishing my career goals,” said Hartrick. “While at BCC, I had the privilege of attending both high school and adult education courses. During that time, the teachers and staff could not have been more supportive in helping me achieve my goal of becoming a lineman.
“BCC also gave me an opportunity to meet new people, who are now some of my best friends.”
